Description of Planets

Mercury Mercury

Represents the mind — the link between spirit and matter, between soul and personality. Mercury rules all communications and is associated with speaking and writing, educational capacities and manual skills.

Venus Venus

The Roman goddess of beauty, is associated with the power of love, the power of attraction and cohesion and the power of quiet, gentle persuasion. It stimulates the desire to be sociable.

Earth Earth

Mother Earth, our home planet, is placed at the center of the Zodiac wheel.

Mars Mars

The ancient god of war is the complement of Venus. Mars is yang, positive, outgoing energy, masculine in nature. Mars represents struggles within and with others. It is related to our physical energy and rules our animal essence.

Jupiter Jupiter

Jupiter is symbolic of expansion, the higher mind, wisdom, enthusiasm, optimism, spontaneity, the desire to gain through experience and the urge to improve the state of things. It carries the ability to grow in physical, mental and moral directions.

Saturn Saturn

Saturn focuses and concentrates energy and strengthens the personality through endurance and persistence. It's contractive nature gives us the opportunity for introspection, meditation and concentration — to work out karma in the process of evolution.

Uranus Uranus

Represents the freedom urge. It is the planet of extremes and sudden change. Uranus is a force which destroys the old to allow room for the new. It displaces and overthrows the established attitudes that have outlived their usefulness. It is related to intuitive knowledge.

Neptune Neptune

Neptune symbolizes receptivity, passivity, impressionability and nebulousness. It brings either spiritual strength or escapist tendencies. Neptune can offer spiritual guidance and protection, or entice us to avoid all responsibility.

Pluto Pluto

Represents those elements which have not yet been integrated into the collective consciousness. It represnets the urge to transform and to regenerate bringing rebirth.
