Doorway of Transition

Dealing with death is a difficult thing, most of us don't know how.

We don't know what to do or say.

Fear surrounds the whole idea of death.

Fear of our own mortality.

Fear of the loss. Fear of the loneliness.

I have considered funerals barbaric, knowing what friends

and family must experience.

Some say they are necessary for closure, a time to say goodbye.

But I did not find that the case — for at my baby's funeral

it was the other people who brought me pain — seeing their

tears, hearing their sobs only made it more difficult.
