Freedom to Be

Let me be free!
Don't try to hold me with the chains of your jealousy.
Don't try to bind me with your fears.
Don't make a prison for me with your selfishness.
Don't crush me the way you do a butterfly,
when you hold its wings.
Don't destroy me the way you do a butterfly,
when you try to keep it from its flight.
Only let me be free.

Free to walk paths that have not been trod.
Free to reach for my star.
