| The Survivor
I am a survivor.
- Do what you will to me, but I will survive.
- I will walk through all of the hell on earth
- with my head held high.
- I will survive.
Through the heartache of a love thought to be real,
- but found to be only an illusion.
- Through the sorrow of love ended too soon.
- Through the pain and heartbreak of a love lost
- before its time had begun.
- Through the torture inflicted by the selfishness of a loved one.
- Through the slow strangulation and death of my love for him.
- Through the misery of an unrequited love a special love.
- I have survived.
Whatever is, whatever may come, I can survive.
- Through the terrible feeling that there is no one
- who understands.
- There is no one to hold me close in his arms,
- No one to be there when I need him.
- The loneliness of not having someone close to me,
- someone to love,
- someone to share all with.
No one to sing through my days with, to walk in the rain with,
- to climb my mountain with, to sit by a fire and dream with,
- to soar to the heights of ecstasy,
- to reach the utmost of aesthetic bliss,
- to fly to the outer reaches of the sublime,
- to know the ultimate of joy.
- If I must do it alone,
- I WILL SURVIVE.
