I Cry the Tears

I cry the tears of the past.
I cry the tears of now.
I cry the tears of eons of time.

Father, my heart breaks as I think of all of the pain,
the heartache, the grief and suffering
of your children.
We suffer and cry because of the veils of illusion
that separate us from you.
We suffer and cry because our beliefs and teachings
tell us you are out there far and distant from us.
