Online Conscious Cannabis Journey
with Jennifer Winn
What to Expect
This journey utilizes cannabis as a sacred plant ally to access expanded states of consciousness for psychospiritual exploration, inner healing and transformation. Typically these are high-dose experiences, although using cannabis is always optional. Many report that using cannabis in this ceremonial, intentional way often leads to profound insights and emotionally powerful experiences on par with other psychedelic medicines such as psilocybin, MDMA, and even DMT.
The session begins with a grounding orientation and overview of what to expect, followed by intention-setting and a sacred imbibing ceremony. A guided body scan meditation then gently eases journeyers into the experience. Participants are encouraged to wear an eye mask and earphones to help direct their attention inward and make the journey as immersive as possible.
The facilitator plays carefully curated music and provides ongoing guidance and support throughout the session, and the ceremony closes with an integration circle and optional sharing. The entire experience typically lasts about three hours.
Common experiences include:
Heightened body awareness and powerful energetic shifts
A felt sense of connection to something greater—spirit, source, higher self
Encounters with inner parts, memories, or symbolic imagery
Insights into one’s life path and purpose
A deepened capacity for self-compassion and acceptance
Timeless states of stillness, unity, transcendence
How to Prepare
To support a deep and productive journey, please take some time to prepare yourself and your space:
Choose a quiet, comfortable and private area where you can lie down and won’t be disturbed. Make sure you have room to move around, as involuntary movement is often part of a powerful journey and is welcomed. Set yourself up with a pillow and blanket or two as your temperature may fluctuate during the session.
Dress in comfortable, loose clothing so you can move freely, and have an eye mask to wear during the session as that helps your body relax and focuses your attention inward. It’s best not to eat a large meal within an hour or two of the session, but eating something small beforehand is fine.
Position your laptop or tablet so that at least your upper body is visible while lying down. You’re welcome to turn off your camera during the journey if that feels more comfortable, but leaving it on allows the facilitator to offer more personalized support and guidance throughout the session.
Use good-quality headphones so you’ll be immersed in the sound and make sure you have a strong internet connection, ideally hard-wired, to minimize the chance of internet hiccups.
Consider having a separate device, such as your smart phone, nearby with a voice-recording app available to record insights and downloads in real time during the session, if desired.
Have a water bottle handy, and lip balm may also be helpful.
If you’re a regular cannabis user, it’s recommended that you refrain from cannabis for several days — and ideally a week or more — before the session. This can help reset your tolerance and create the conditions for a more powerful and meaningful experience.
It’s also recommended to refrain from alcohol use for several days prior to and after the session.
Cannabis Preparation & Recommendations
Cannabis use for the session is always optional, and each participant will be encouraged to follow their own intuition on how much to imbibe both at the start and throughout the entire journey. Unlike other medicines, additional cannabis can be ingested throughout the session to deepen the experience as desired.
Smoked or vaporized organic flower is preferred, as it is minimally processed and also allows for real-time adjustment and smoother pacing. While edibles can be used, doing so is challenging as the participant must know their effective dose and timing for ingestion prior to the session.
The psychedelic cannabis blend:
For regular cannabis users who already have a preferred strain or blend that works well for them, it's perfectly fine to use that. For those who are newer to cannabis or would like to try the recommended psychedelic blend, we suggest creating a mix of 1/3 sativa, 1/3 indica, and 1/3 hybrid, ideally with 20-30% THC and low CBD. This combination provides a broad range of cannabinoids and terpenes and can create a balance between the head-oriented sativas and the body-oriented indicas. This blend also helps to minimize the downsides sometimes experienced with specific strains, such as heightened anxiety or excessive sleepiness.
Health Considerations & Contraindications
While this work can be deeply healing, it’s not appropriate for everyone. Please refrain from participating if you have:

If you’re unsure whether this is appropriate for you, please consult with a trusted medical provider and obtain their approval before attending.
